Apple has released the iPad last Summer and in a span of weeks, it has sold around three million units. First reason why the iPad became a successful release is that there is no other tablet which can be at par with Apple iPad at that point in time. The iPad was fresh and new to the users- no one has ever had a tablet PC before which utilizes full touch functionality.
Apart from that, its being based on the Apple iPhone OS made it more promising to the prospect users because of iPhone’s popularity.
