It may be very premature to say this but with the upcoming release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab- the tablet PC market would be set on an entirely different track. Before, it was a monopoly of Apple iPads, in the coming days or weeks, we just do not know, but odds are pointing out at a very healthy competition and an expensive one!
Tab vs iPad From the Outside
The Apple iPad boasts its nine-inch screen while the Samsung Tab only has 7 inches. The difference? Well it is quite significant as people would surely want to view whatever they are viewing in large screens, right? But wait, it’s not just the thing to be considered, the Samsung Tab is an oversized smartphone- yes it has voice call capabilities. Maybe Samsung deliberately chose their product to have the size in between a usual smartphone and an iPad. So definitely, the size has been compensated by its phone capabilities.
The weight is also a factor as many users claim that the iPad is a little heavy to be brought anywhere. Samsung definitely picked this one up and made sure that the Tab won’t get the same issue. Speculations claim that the Samsung Tab would actually weigh half of the iPad- and it’s a decent deal being able to carry it with one hand comfortably.
The Inside Talks
The Tab’s processor is definitely faster than the iPad’s- measuring at 1.2 GHz. Video calling capability is also present with the Tab. HD and DIVx capable, Samsung Tab is really something to look forward to. But it’s not just that- Flash Support? Can we repeat that?
Yes! You heard it right! Samsung has pretty much picked up what iPad has left unanswered and unresolved. Flash support just closes the entire deal as it makes browsing as smooth and easy as if browsing through your laptop or desktop using your fingers. We here at Samsung Galaxy Review are very pro Galaxy Tab hence the reason for our websites presence however there are reasonable cases for both these products and with all the recent fuss regarding the iPad we thought it would only be fair to give Samsung’s new product a decent plug, at the end of the day potential consumers must make up their own minds and purchase whichever one suits their needs better.
Can’t wait, huh? Well you still have a few weeks left to save some cash as the price is still unknown to the public. I’m wondering how Steve Jobs is preparing for Samsung’s big leap. Are they a little startled or are they up to something cooler than their iPad? That, we’ll see in the next few months.
